In the BIOMOTO Bike Fitting analysis, the best setup is scientifically worked out to create absolute unity between rider and bike.
Central to this is the perfect balance between performance, comfort and aerodynamics. Using high-definition high speed video technology and pressure measurements at all contact points, we conduct the analysis under realistic conditions.
1. Postural ASsessment
4-step postural examination:
- Objective examination of the foot and lower limbs
- Assessment of hip mobility
- Assessment of shoulder mobility in orthostasis
- Anterior banding testing in orthostasis and on the bicycle
2. Motion Analysis on the Bicylce
The biomechanical analysis of the movement on the bike allows us to evaluate and perfect a process of adaptation of the bike to the customer.
Two cameras (front/rear and lateral) record the cyclist in different pedaling positions.
This makes it possible to analyze the pedaling movement, to determine the angles of the joints, to evaluate possible incorrect positions of the spine (lateral perspective), of the hip (antero-posterior perspective) and of the knees (frontal perspective).
3. Saddle Pressure Analysis
Thanks to the 64 sensors applied on the saddle we are able to measure and analyze any asymmetry in the loading phase:
- Average saddle pressure
- Antero-posterior pressure (pubic bones, ischial bones)
- Pressure values according to saddle position
- Right and left side pressure comparison
- Center of pelvic motion
- Angle of pelvic hemisphere alignment
4. Plantar Pressure Analysis
Through this system it is possible to dynamically record the plantar pressure inside the bike shoe. With this information we are able to:
- Optimize cleat position
- Analyze possible asymmetries
- Direct the choice of shoes
- Fine-tune the show/pedal connection
- Analyze the difference in thrust between the right and left foot
- Customize the cycling insoles
